The Krewe of Orpheus parade in Mandeville will be Friday, March 1st, 2019 and will begin at the Ashbury Dr. and Hwy. 190 intersection. The parade then goes west on Hwy. 190 where it merges with Hwy. 22 through the city. The parade will then turn southeast on W. Causeway Approach. You can follow the road all the way down to the intersection of N. Causeway Blvd. It will then proceed under N. Causeway, and follow the eastern approach.

The Krewe of Orpheus began in 1987, when 11 businessmen set out to build a new krewe that would bring a 1st class parade to the Mandeville area. Now more than 30 years later, it is the North Shore’s premiere men’s carnival krewe. It is known for the handmade Pineloon throws, which are a pinecone on a gold double base, sprayed purple/green/gold with gold glitter.
The parade always rolls on the Friday before Mardi Gras down the traditional Mandeville, La parade route. The Krewe’s official call and response is, “Hail Orpheus! Hail Yes!”
