Original Krewe of Orpheus logo

The Krewe of Orpheus began in 1987, when 11 businessmen set out to build a new krewe that would bring a 1st class parade to the Mandeville area. Now more than 30 years later, it is the North Shore’s premiere men’s carnival krewe. It is known for the handmade Pineloon throws, which are a pinecone on a gold double base, sprayed purple/green/gold with gold glitter.

The parade always rolls on the Friday before Mardi Gras down the traditional Mandeville, La parade route. The Krewe’s official call and response is, “Hail Orpheus! Hail Yes!”

Wayne Turner with Turner Real Estate Group in Mandeville, La will be riding in the Krewe of Orpheus. Make sure to come on out and participate in the carnival fun! For more info on the Krewe of Orpheus, click here. For more info on Turner Real Estate Group, click here or call 985-626-1313.
